Dr. Suky Martinez, Ph.D.

Dr. Suky Martinez is a clinical psychologist whose research program is grounded in integrative and translational approaches, drawing upon clinical psychology, neuroscience, behavioral pharmacology, and behavioral genetics. He aims to enhance psychological and behavioral phenotyping of substance use disorders to better understand their heterogeneity and to refine diagnostic precision. Dr. Martinez’s research also focuses on resilience, exploring its neuropsychological, behavioral, and genetic underpinnings to improve its construct validity. Ultimately, his research seeks to refine the theory of the etiology of addiction and to develop personalized interventions.
