Anika joined BPRU in June 2023 as a student intern. She is a current junior at Johns Hopkins University where she is majoring in Public Health and Psychology with a minor in Spanish for the Professions on the premedical track. She aspires to go into a career in child and adolescent psychiatry. At MOR, she primarily works on the SUVO study. Her other research interests involve promoting behavioral health equity and harm reduction methods. Outside of BPRU and classes, she volunteers at Lighthouse, which provides care and harm reduction services for people who use drugs in the Baltimore area. In her free time, you can find her hanging out with friends, running in nature, or trying out a new recipe.
