Dr. Huhn is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has an active research program at Ashley Addiction Treatment, a non-profit residential and outpatient treatment provider serving communities of the Northern Chesapeake region of Maryland. His research focuses on the intersection of neuroscience and the clinical treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD), with the ultimate goal of improving health services for persons with substance use and related disorders. Much of his work with OUD patients is aimed at directly improving sleep, stress, and symptoms of depression and anxiety. Dr. Huhn also has an active interest in predictive modeling of relapse risk and treatment attrition for persons with OUD. His lab is independently funded by the National Institutes of Health and other non-profit support, and he has over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
